INTRODUCTION ABOUT ESOCARD 100MG INJECTION

ESOCARD 100MG INJECTION contains a medicine Esmolol which belongs to the group of medicines called Beta-blockers. It is used for short-term management if your heart beats too fast and used during or straight after surgery if your blood pressure gets too high or your heart beats too fast.

Your doctor might want you to take certain tests before starting the management. ESOCARD 100MG INJECTION is not recommended for use if you have very slow heartbeat (less than 50 beats per minute), fast or alternating fast and slow heartbeat, severe heart block, low blood pressure, problem with the blood supply to your heart, or serious heart failure symptoms.

It is also not recommended for use if you have adrenal gland disease called phaeochromocytoma which has not been managed, increased blood pressure in the lung (pulmonary hypertension), asthma symptoms that are worsening rapidly, or increased level of acids in your body (metabolic acidosis).

Before receiving ESOCARD 100MG INJECTION inform your doctor if you have heart problems (heart rhythm disorders called supraventricular arrhythmias, low heart rate before management, heart failure, heart block, high or low blood pressure, Prinzmetal’s angina), adrenal gland disease called phaeochromocytoma, asthma, diabetes, skin problem (psoriasis), circulatory problems (Raynaud’s disease), kidney, liver problems or overactive thyroid gland.

ESOCARD 100MG INJECTION is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. It is not recommended for use in children and adolescents below 18 years of age. ESOCARD 100MG INJECTION should be used with caution in elderly patients above 65 years of age.

The most common side effects of receiving ESOCARD 100MG INJECTION are excessive sweating, loss of appetite, dizziness, headache, or feeling sleepy. Consult your doctor if symptoms do not improve.
