INTRODUCTION ABOUT ENPHENE 50MG TABLET
ENPHENE 50MG TABLET is a combination of Clomifene and Ubidecarenone which belongs to the group of medicines called Ovulation stimulants and Antioxidants respectively. It is used in the management of infertility in women (women are not ovulating properly).
The main symptom of infertility is the inability to get pregnant, a menstrual cycle that’s too long (35 days or more), too short (less than 21 days), irregular or absent can mean you’re not ovulating.
ENPHENE 50MG TABLET is not recommended for use if you have or had liver disease, unusual menstrual bleeding with unknown cause, have a type of cancer that is worsened by hormones, a cyst on your ovary.
Before taking ENPHENE 50MG TABLET inform your doctor if you are having early menopause, are infertile, stopped having periods because of underweight, had fits or seizures in the past, have fibroids in the womb, have polycystic ovaries, ovaries are swollen, have hypertriglyceridemia (an excess of fats in the blood).
ENPHENE 50MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women and inform your doctor before taking this medicine if you are breast-feeding a baby. It is not recommended for use in children and adolescents below 18 years of age.
The most common side effects of taking ENPHENE 50MG TABLET are nausea, vomiting, blurred vision and pelvic pain. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.

HOW ENPHENE 50MG TABLET WORKS
ENPHENE 50MG TABLET contains clomifene which acts by increasing the gonadotrophin hormones secreted by pituitary glands which in turn stimulates the maturation and endocrine activity of the ovarian follicle (stimulates the release of eggs from the ovary). Ubidecarenone protects the body from damage by chemicals that cause infertility.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Take ENPHENE 50MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the right dose and duration depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
SIDE EFFECTS OF ENPHENE 50MG TABLET
COMMON
- nausea, vomiting
- ovarian enlargement
- blurred vision
- abnormal uterine bleeding
- pelvic pain
RARE
Stop taking ENPHENE 50MG TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
- allergic reaction (signs include rash, itching, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, swelling of your face, lips, throat or tongue, cold clammy skin, palpitations, dizziness, weakness or fainting)
- numbness, weakness or paralysis on one side of body, slurred speech, sudden blurred vision, confusion or unsteadiness (can be stroke)
- over-stimulation of the ovary (pain in the pelvis, stomach or calves, feeling bloated, passing less urine, difficulty in breathing or an increase in weight)
- blurring of vision or spots in front of the eyes
- jaundice
- sudden and severe headaches
- mental illness such as psychosis
HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS
Nausea and vomiting:
Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oil rich, fried or spicy food. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.

PREGNANCY
ENPHENE 50MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women or women planning to have a baby. Consult your doctor before taking ENPHENE 50MG TABLET.

BREASTFEEDING
Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding before taking ENPHENE 50MG TABLET as it can lower the amount of milk produced. Consult your doctor before taking it.

DRIVING AND USING MACHINES
Do not drive or use machines while taking ENPHENE 50MG TABLET as it may cause blurred vision.

LIVER
ENPHENE 50MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with liver disease or history of liver disease. Consult your doctor before taking it.

ALLERGY
Do not take ENPHENE 50MG TABLET if you are allergic to Clomifene or Ubidecarenone or any other ingredients of this medicine.
OTHERS
ENPHENE 50MG TABLET is not recommended for use if you:
- have unusual menstrual bleeding with unknown cause
- have a type of cancer that is worsened by hormones
- have a cyst on ovary
Before taking ENPHENE 50MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you:
- have early menopause or have been told you are infertile
- have stopped having periods because you are under-weight
- have had fits or seizures in the past
- have fibroids in womb
- have polycystic ovaries
- ovaries are swollen
- have hypertriglyceridemia (an excess of fats in the blood) or a family history of hypertriglyceridemia
- intolerant to certain sugars
Use in pediatrics:
ENPHENE 50MG TABLETis not recommended for use in children and adolescents below 18 years of age. Consult your child’s doctor for advice.
