Introduction About ALLERDE 5MG TABLET
ALLERDE 5MG TABLET contains Desloratadine which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihistamines. It is used to manage allergic symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (such as nasal congestion, itchy nose, repeated sneezing and red, watery and/or itchy eyes). It can also be used to manage urticaria (an allergic skin condition causing reddish raised patches on the skin with severe itching)
ALLERDE 5MG TABLET is suitable for use both in adults and in children (aged 12 years or older). Unlike other allergic medication, it does not make you feel sleepy or drowsy. Its effects can last up to 1 day (24 hours) which helps you to resume your normal daily activities and sleep.
Before taking ALLERDE 5MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any kidney problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have a family history of fits or seizures as a precaution.
ALLERDE 5MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women. The most common side effects of taking ALLERDE 5MG TABLET are dryness of mouth, headache and fatigue. Consult your doctor if they trouble you.

It is used in adults and in children (aged 12 years or older) to manage symptoms associated with
- Allergic rhinitis (such as nasal congestion, itchy nose, repeated sneezing and red, watery, and itchy eyes)
- Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria (severe skin rash with reddish raised patches and itching)
How ALLERDE 5MG TABLET Works
ALLERDE 5MG TABLET is an anti-allergic medicine. It reduces allergic reactions by blocking the release of certain chemicals (histamines) in the body that triggers the allergic response. As a result, it provides relief from the symptoms of allergic rhinitis and urticaria.
How to use ALLERDE 5MG TABLET
Take ALLERDE 5MG TABLET as advised by your physician. It can be taken with or without meals. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.
Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. Continue to take this medicine for the stipulated duration prescribed by your doctor to achieve better results.

Stop taking ALLERDE 5MG TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects such as:
- signs of allergic reaction (such as skin rash, itching, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and/or throat which can lead to difficulty in breathing or swallowing)
- fits (seizures)
- signs of liver problems (such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, feeling generally unwell, fever, itching, yellowing of the skin and eyes, pale stools, dark colored urine)
- abnormal heartbeat, dizziness
How To Manage Side Effects
Headache:
Rest and relax. Drink plenty of fluids such as water or electrolytes. Apply a pain-relieving balm on the head if required. Do not consume alcohol. Consult your doctor if the symptom did not improve.
Fatigue:
Get enough sleep and exercise on regular basis. Take part in relaxing activities (like yoga) and drink enough fluids to stay hydrated. Consult your doctor if the symptom did not improve.
Dry Mouth:
Eat fruits like watermelon and vegetables like cucumber. Drink small amounts of water multiple times. Avoid alcohol and caffeinated beverages like coffee and soda. Consult your doctor if the symptom did not improve.

ALLERDE 5MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.
Breastfeeding
ALLERDE 5MG TABLET is generally not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it may pass through the breast milk. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.
Driving and Using Machines
ALLERDE 5MG TABLET is unlikely to affect your abilities for driving or operating heavy machines. However, if you experience any sleepiness, do not drive or operate any heavy tools or machines as a precaution.
Alcohol
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking ALLERDE 5MG TABLET.
Kidney
