Allerde M Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. Allerde M Tablet is used to treat an itchy, stuffy or runny nose, sneezing, or other symptoms caused by seasonal hay fever (allergic rhinitis). It works by reducing certain substances in the body called histamines that are responsible for the allergic symptoms. It also reduces swelling inside the nose and thus decreases symptoms such as stuffy nose. This helps in easy breathing and makes you feel better. Drink plenty of liquids, including chicken soup. It can make you feel better.

How Allerde M Tablet works

Allerde M Tablet is a combination of two medicines: desloratadine and montelukast, which treat sneezing and a runny nose caused by allergies. Desloratadine is an antiallergic that blocks the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for a runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of another chemical messenger (leukotriene). This reduces inflammation (swelling) in the airways and nose and improves symptoms.
