Introduction About BETADINE 10% SOLUTION

Betadine 10% Solution is an anti-septic solution used to prepare skin prior to surgery and to reduce bacteria on the skin that can potentially cause infection. It contains povidone iodine as an active ingredient which is active against a wide variety of pathogens.

Povidone Iodine is a broad-spectrum antiseptic that penetrates the microbe and oxidizes proteins, nucleotides, and fatty acids which causes its death. It is effective against a wide range of infection-causing microbes such as bacteria, fungi, protozoa and viruses.

Use Betadine 10% Solution as advised by your doctor. Do not use it in the eyes. Avoid prolonged exposure to wet solutions as they may cause irritation or severe skin reactions in some instances. Inform your doctor in case you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
