BRICAREX
DX Syrup (No Added Sugar) is used in the management of dry cough
associated with common cold, respiratory allergies, tuberculosis, sinus
infections, etc. It contains a combination of Chlorpheniramine and Dextromethorphan
which blocks the release of certain chemicals within the body that is
triggers dry cough and acts in the medulla oblongata to elevate the
cough threshold.
Take BRICAREX DX Syrup (No Added Sugar)
preferably at bedtime. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and
duration of therapy based on your health condition. Avoid alcohol
consumption as it could make you feel drowsier.
Before taking
BRICAREX DX Syrup (No Added Sugar), inform your doctor if you have any
liver problems, kidney problems, history of asthma, bronchitis,
breathing difficulties or persistent, chronic cough as a precaution.

you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
BRICAREX DX Syrup (No Added
Sugar) is suitable for use both in children (aged 2 years or older) and
in adults. Avoid taking other cough syrups, alcoholic beverages,
medicines for depression, mental illnesses, anxiety and other central
nervous system depressants as it could make you feel more tired, weak
and drowsy.
BRICAREX DX Syrup (No Added Sugar) may cause
dizziness and drowsiness. Therefore, do not drive or handle any heavy
tools or machines until your concentration is clear. Other side effects
include dry mouth, constipation, lack of appetite and weakness which are
usually manageable without medical attention. However, consult your
doctor if they trouble you.

HOW BRICAREX DX NO ADDED SUGAR SYRUP WORKS
BRICAREX
DX Syrup (No Added Sugar) contains two medicines namely,
Chlorpheniramine and Dextromethorphan. Chlorpheniramine is an
antihistamine medicine which blocks the release of certain chemicals
within the body that is triggers allergic dry cough.
Dextromethorphan
is non-narcotic antitussive which acts on the cough centres of the
medulla oblongata and elevates cough threshold. Together, they provide
relief from non-productive cough and soothes throat.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
BRICAREX
DX Syrup (No Added Sugar) should be used under medical supervision.
Take the required quantity of the medicine in the measuring cup provided
with the package and consume the medicine. Do not exceed the
recommended daily dosages. Shake the medicine well before use. Wash and
replace the measuring cup.
Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you based on your age, body weight and health condition.

INTERACTIONS
A. Drug-Drug interactions:
- Anti-arrhythmic agents (such as amiodarone, propafenone, quinidine)
- Antidepressants
and Antipsychotics (such as Escitalopram, Fluoxetine, Paroxetine,
Sertraline, amitriptyline, thioridazine, haloperidol) - Topical antihistamines (such as diphenhydramine cream, ointment, spray)
- Antispasmodics (such as atropine, scopolamine and belladonna alkaloids)
- Antiparkinsonian drugs (such as benztropine, trihexyphenidyl)
Overdosage:
If
you or anyone else accidentally taken too much of BRICAREX DX Syrup (No
Added Sugar), consult your doctor immediately as a precaution. Symptoms
of overdosage might include excitation, hallucination, lack of
coordination, tremors, flushed face, fever, convulsions, restlessness,
dizziness, tremor, hyperactive reflexes, shortness of breath,
irritability, lack of sleep, difficulty in urination, headache, flushing
and palpitation.
