INTRODUCTION

BRUFEN
400MG contains Ibuprofen which belongs to the group of medicines called
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is used to relieve
pain and inflammation in conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid
arthritis (juvenile rheumatoid arthritis or Still’s disease), arthritis
of the spine, ankylosing spondylitis, swollen joints, frozen shoulder,
bursitis, tendinitis, tenosynovitis, lower back pain, sprains and
strains. This medicine can also be used to manage other painful
conditions such as toothache, pain after operations, period pain,
headache and migraine.

When your body is fighting an injury or
infection, it naturally releases chemicals called prostaglandins which
lead to fever, swelling and discomfort. BRUFEN 400MG blocks the effect
of prostaglandins.

Before taking BRUFEN 400MG tell your doctor
if you have liver, kidney or heart disease. Pregnant and breastfeeding
women must consult the doctor before taking this medicine. Avoid
excessive use of painkillers, tell your doctor if you are already taking
another painkiller before taking this medicine. The common side effects
are dizziness, tiredness, headache, diarrhea, constipation and
flatulence.
