It works by increasing the retention of water in the intestine which induces bowel movement. This way it clears the tract to carry out the colonoscopy easily.
Coloprep Bowel Preparation Kit (177ml Each) Delicious Lemon should be used strictly as directed by the doctor. Dilute the solution with cool or normal drinking water and mix well. Read the instructions thoroughly before using the medicine. It is usually administered in two doses. One in the evening before colonoscopy. And a second dose 10 to 12 hours after the first dose and in the morning of colonoscopy, at least 3 and half hours before the colonoscopy.
Use of this medication can cause a few common side effects such as abdominal distention, bloating, nausea, abdominal cramps, and vomiting. If any of these side effects bother you, let your doctor know. They may be able to suggest ways to reduce or treat the symptoms.
Before you take this medicine, let your doctor know about any other medicines you are taking. Let your doctor also know if you have any preexisting medical conditions such as gastrointestinal obstruction, bowel perforation, and gastric retention.
