Introduction About MET XL 25MG TABLET

Met XL 25mg Tablet contains Metoprolol Succinate, a beta-blocker used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension), angina (chest pain), and other heart conditions. It helps in controlling heart rate and improving blood flow. It is also prescribed to manage anxiety and migraine headaches where it works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.

Take Met XL 25 Tablet preferably after meals 1-2 times (morning and/or evening) daily as advised by your doctor. If you have started using Met XL 25 for more than 6 months, do not stop using it abruptly, as it may cause your BP and heart rate to raise abnormally high. To avoid this, consult your doctor, as your doctor will reduce the dose slowly to avoid such side effects.

Before taking Met XL 25 Tablet inform your doctor if you have any liver problems, kidney problems, diabetes, asthma or any pre-existing conditions as a precaution. Met XL 25 Tablet can mask the symptoms of diabetes. Therefore, if you are a diabetic patient, regular monitor your blood sugar levels and inform your doctor about taking this medicine as a precaution.

Met XL 25 Tablet is not suitable for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women, as it was proven to cause harm to the fetus and nursing infant. The most common side effects of Met XL 25 Tablet are dizziness, headache, cold hands and feet, tiredness, slow heart rate, and shortness of breath.
