Introduction About MET XL TABLET

MET XL TABLET is used in the management of high blood pressure, angina pectoris (chest pain), heart failure, arrhythmias or palpitations, heart attacks and migraine headaches. It contains Metoprolol which is a beta-blocker that works by controlling heart functions and reduces strain on the heart.

Take MET XL TABLET only under medical supervision. It is usually taken with or immediately after meals. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor as a precaution.

Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medicine as it lowers blood pressure. It is not recommended for use in patients with asthma, COPD, severe bradycardia, second or third-degree heart block, cardiogenic shock, cardiac failure, sick sinus syndrome (unless a permanent pacemaker is present) and unmanaged pheochromocytoma.
