INTRODUCTION ABOUT NEOTOMIC ENEMA

Neotomic Enema is a laxative, used to relieve constipation in pre-delivery, bedridden patients, habitual and drug induced constipation patients. It is also used for emptying bowel before delivery, surgery and in postoperative care, per rectum and colonoscopy examination and in radiological examination.

Additionally, it is made to be used at home for hernia and cardiovascular patients to avoid excessive straining during defecation. It contains glycerin and sodium chloride as an active ingredient which helps in easy defecation but also forms a protecting layer and moisturizes the dry area.

Glycerin is an osmotic laxative exerts its hygroscopic action and draws in water to soften the stool and sodium chloride exerts hyperosmotic effect and draws water into the colon, softens the stool and promotes evacuation, thus it relieves constipation.

Always use Neotomic Enema as advised by the physician. It is for rectal use only. You should lie left side on your body, bring your knees up to your chest. Keep one leg raised up higher than the other. Remove the cap and use a small amount of enema solution to lubricate the rectal tube. Insert the lubricated rectal tube into the anus and then squeeze the container until almost all of the solution has been drained. Take out the rectal tube and dispose off the container.
