ROSUFIT 10 TABLET is used in the management of high blood cholesterol levels. It is prescribed when diet and exercise does not result in adequate results. It contains a medicine called Rosuvastatin which is an anti-hyperlipidemic agent that works by blocking cholesterol production in the body. It also makes your body eliminate lipids particles from the blood.
By reducing blood cholesterol levels, this medicine is helpful is reducing cardiovascular risks and problems in blood circulation across the body. While taking ROSUFIT 10 TABLET, you must follow a cholesterol-lowering diet, lifestyle changes and regular physical activity as instructed by your doctor to achieve better results.
Before taking ROSUFIT 10 TABLET inform your doctor if you have any lung, liver, kidney or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have diabetes, thyroid problems, or a family history of muscle disorders. Do not take ROSUFIT 10 TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding without consulting your doctor.
ROSUFIT 10 TABLET may increase your blood sugar levels, especially in patients who are diabetic. It may also affect the way your liver works and so your doctor will closely monitor your blood sugar levels and liver functions while undergoing therapy with ROSUFIT 10 TABLET as a precaution.
The most common side effects of taking ROSUFIT 10 TABLET are muscle ache, constipation, stomach pain, dizziness, nausea and headache. Inform your doctor if you experience severe unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness along with fever after taking ROSUFIT 10 TABLET.

HOW ROSUFIT 10 TABLET WORKS
ROSUFIT 10 TABLET is a lipid lowering medicine. It effectively reduces the levels of bad cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides in the body by blocking the action of an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase that synthesizes cholesterol within the body. It also acts on the liver and improve the body’s ability to remove lipid particles from the blood. As a result, it reduces blood cholesterol levels and manage its associated risks.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
- Take ROSUFIT 10 TABLET as advised by your physician
- Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine
- ROSUFIT 10 TABLET can be taken with or without meals

Common side effects of ROSUFIT 10 TABLET:

- severe skin reactions (such as skin allergy involving severe itching with raised lumps, reddish non-elevated, target-like or circular patches on the body, with central blisters, skin peeling, ulcers of mouth, throat, nose, genitals and eyes)
- widespread rash, fever and enlarged lymph nodes
- unexplained muscle pain or weakness, especially if accompanied by fever, weakness, or reddish-brown urine
- severe skin rash with joint disorders and changes in blood counts (lupus-like disease syndrome)
- liver problems which may lead to yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice)
- pancreatitis characterized by severe pain in the abdomen and back

OTHERS
ROSUFIT 10 TABLET is not recommended for use if you:
- have an unexplained muscle pain
- have improper functioning of thyroid gland

INTERACTIONS
A. Drug-Drug Interactions:

- Immunosuppressants (Ex. Cyclosporin)
- Fibrates (Ex. Gemfibrozil, fenofibrate, ezetimibe)
- Antibiotics (Ex. Fusidic acid, Erythromycin)
- Blood thinners (Ex. Warfarin, Ticagrelor or Clopidogrel)
- Oral contraceptives (Ex. Levonorgestrel)
- Kinase inhibitors. (Ex. Regorafenib, Darolutamide)
- Hormone replacement therapy (Ex. Dydrogesterone, Estradiol)
- Anti-viral agents (Ex. Ritonavir, lopinavir, atazanavir, sofosbuvir, voxilaprevir, simeprevir, ombitasvir, elbasvir, glecaprevir, pibrentasvir, paritaprevir, dasabuvir, velates, grazoprevir)
- H2 blockers (Ex. Cimetidine)
- Antacids (Ex. Aluminium hydroxide or magnesium hydroxide)
