Introduction About VALDIFF 50MG TABLET
VALDIFF 50MG TABLET is used in adults to manage type 2 diabetes which helps to control the blood sugar levels when diet and exercise becomes insufficient to control the disease. It contains which belongs to group of medicines called Oral Anti-diabetics.
Take VALDIFF 50MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Do not crush or chew VALDIFF 50MG TABLET. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water.
Along management with VALDIFF 50MG TABLET, your doctor might advise you to follow the diet and/or exercise which is beneficial. Avoid consumption of alcohol because it might lead to low blood glucose levels. Before taking VALDIFF 50MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you are on dialysis or have diabetic ketoacidosis (serious complication of diabetes), pancreatic disease, heart failure and liver or kidney disease.
VALDIFF 50MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breast-feeding women, which is also not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years). It should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above).
The side effects of taking VALDIFF 50MG TABLET are dizziness, headache, joint pain and constipation.

VALDIFF 50MG TABLET controls blood glucose level by acting on the pancreas to produce more insulin and less glucagon which leads to low production of blood sugar levels resulting in controlled blood glucose levels.
How to use VALDIFF 50MG TABLET
- Take VALDIFF 50MG TABLET as advised by your physician.
- Do not crush or chew VALDIFF 50MG TABLET.
- Swallow the medicine with a glass of water.
- Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

- Signs of inflammation of the pancreas such as severe and persistent pain in the abdomen (stomach area), nausea and vomiting

Alcohol

Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking VALDIFF 50MG TABLET because it might lead to hypoglycemia (lowering of blood glucose levels).
Kidney
Use with Caution
VALDIFF 50MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with moderate or severe kidney disease and in patients who are undergoing dialysis.
Liver
Use with Caution
VALDIFF 50MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with liver disease.
Allergy
Contraindicated
Do not take VALDIFF 50MG TABLET if you are allergic to Vildagliptin or any other ingredients of this medicine.
Heart Disease
Use with Caution
VALDIFF 50MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients suffering from heart failure.
Use In Pediatrics
Contraindicated
VALDIFF 50MG TABLET is not recommended for use in children and adolescents up to 18 years of age.
Use In Geriatrics

VALDIFF 50MG TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above).
Others
Before taking VALDIFF 50MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you:
