How VOLIX TRIO DS 2 TABLET Works

VOLIX TRIO DS 2 TABLET contains a combination of three medicines namely, glimepiride, metformin, and voglibose. Each of these drugs works in a different way to help lower blood sugar:

  1. Glimepiride: It stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin, which helps lower blood sugar by allowing cells to take in glucose.
  2. Metformin: It decreases the amount of glucose produced by the liver and improves the sensitivity of muscle cells to insulin, allowing them to use glucose more effectively.
  3. Voglibose: It inhibits enzymes in the gut that break down carbohydrates into glucose, slowing down the absorption of sugar from food.

Together, these actions help control blood sugar levels throughout the day by improving insulin secretion, reducing glucose production, and slowing sugar absorption.
