How AMLODAC CH TABLET Works
AMLODAC CH TABLET contains two medicines namely amlodipine and chlorthalidone. Amlodipine is a vasodilator. It relaxes the blood vessels supplying various organs (such as heart, kidney, brain or others) which allows blood to flow more smoothly across the blood vessels.
Chlorthalidone is a diuretic (water pill). It removes the excess fluids and electrolytes (sodium and water) from the body in the form of urine. This action reduces fluid retention (edema) from the body. Collectively, these actions improve blood flow, reduces the strain on the heart and helps the heart to pump more blood with less pressure.
