Introduction About AMLOKIND BETA 25 TABLET
AMLOKIND BETA 25 TABLET is used in the management of hypertension (high blood pressure), angina, irregular heart rhythm and long-term heart failure.
You can take AMLOKIND BETA 25 TABLET at any time of the day, with or without food, but it is important to take it consistently at the same time each day. Continue using the medicine for the duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking it on your own, even if you feel fine, as high blood pressure often shows no symptoms, and discontinuing it may worsen your condition. To enhance the effectiveness of the medication, follow your doctor’s advice and adopt healthy lifestyle habits such as regular exercise, maintaining a healthy weight, and eating a balanced diet.
Avoid taking grapefruit or its juice while taking AMLOKIND BETA 25 TABLET as it may increase the blood pressure-lowering effect of this medicine.
Before starting this medication, inform your doctor if you have any liver or kidney conditions. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medicine. Also, let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking, especially those used for blood pressure or heart-related issues, to avoid potential interactions.
Common side effects of this medicine include headache, swelling in the ankles, skin rash, slow heart rate, nausea, and depression. It may also cause dizziness, so avoid driving or engaging in activities that require concentration until you understand how it affects you. Additionally, it can increase potassium levels in the blood, so you should avoid potassium-rich foods and supplements unless advised otherwise. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolyte levels may be necessary during treatment.

Metoprolol works by reducing the force of contraction of the heart muscles by blocking the effects of certain hormones called adrenaline and making the heart beat more easily thus lowering the blood pressure.
