BETNOVATE
 C CREAM is a combination of Betamethasone and Iodochlorhydroxyquinoline
 which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids and
Anti-infectives respectively. It is used to reduce the redness and
itchiness of certain skin problems such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis
 or insect bites.
Eczema is a group of conditions that make your skin inflamed or irritated. It is also called as atopic dermatitis.
Psoriasis is an immune-mediated disease that causes raised, scaly patches on the skin due to systemic inflammation.
Before using this medicine inform your doctor if you have heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease.
Pregnant
 and breastfeeding women should consult their doctors before using this
medicine. The most common side effects are hot or burning, irritation,
itching, skin rash. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects
worsen.

BETNOVATE
 C CREAM is a combination of Betamethasone and
Iodochlorhydroxyquinoline. Betamethasone works by blocks the production
of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red,
swollen and itchy. Iodochlorhydroxyquinoline works by managing the
growth and multiplication of both bacteria and fungi.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Use
 BETNOVATE C CREAM as advised by your physician. It is for external use
only. Check the label for directions before use. Your doctor will decide
 the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body
weight and disease condition.

 body, rash, itching or hives on the skin, hay fever or fainting
- skin
 thinning and appearance of stretch marks, changes to the colour of your
 skin, increase in hair growth, appearance of blood vessels under the
 surface of your skin

Betamethasone or Iodochlorhydroxyquinoline or any other similar
medicines such as other corticosteroids.
OTHERS
BETNOVATE C CREAM is not recommended for use if you have:
- any
 other skin problems such as acne, severe flushing of skin on and around
 your nose (rosacea), spotty red rash around your mouth (perioral
 dermatitis), viral infections, such as cold sores, herpes or chicken
 pox, blisters or sores on your face and hands (impetigo) or other
 bacterial infections, fungal infections, such as ringworm, athletes’
 foot or thrush, itching around your back passage (anus) or private parts
 (genitals)
- an infection

- psoriasis
- burning sensation
Use in Pediatrics:
BETNOVATE C CREAM is not recommended for use in children under 1 year of age. Consult your doctor before using.
Use in Geriatrics:
BETNOVATE C CREAM should be used with caution in elderly patients. Consult your doctor before using.
INTERACTIONS
A. Drug – Drug interactions:
Before using BETNOVATE C CREAM, inform your doctor if you are using any of the following medicine:
- vigabatran (used to manage epilepsy)
- ritonovir (used to manage HIV)
- itraconazole (used to manage fungal infections)
Overdosage:
If
 you or anyone else accidentally uses too much of BETNOVATE C CREAM,
contact your doctor immediately or go to a hospital straight away.
