BIO D3 FEM SOFT GELATIN CAPSULE is a combination of Calcitriol, Vitamin K 2-7, Calcium Carbonate, Magnesium Oxide, and Soya Isoflavones which belong to the group of medicines called Vitamins, Minerals, and Nutrients respectively. It is used to manage post-menopausal Osteoporosis and to reduce the risk of Osteoporosis in women.
Menopause is the time that marks the natural end of reproductive age for a woman, along with the cessation of the menstrual cycle and a decline in reproductive hormone levels in the body. It is characterized by symptoms such as bone loss (postmenopausal osteoporosis), irregularity in periods, vaginal dryness, hot flashes, chills, night sweats, and sleep problems.

Vitamin K activates the calcium-binding actions of two proteins (the matrix GLA protein and osteocalcin), which helps in enhancing calcium absorption in the body, thereby increasing mass and strength.
Magnesium oxide reduces the activity of bone-resorbing cells and improves the activity of bone-depositing cells. Soy isoflavones mimic the actions of oestrogen, which is a hormone needed for calcium deposition in the bones, thereby reversing bone loss.
