INTRODUCTION
CANESTEN S is a combination of Beclomethasone and Clotrimazole used to manage skin infections caused by fungi like athlete’s foot, ringworm and sweat rash and helps to relieve symptoms like redness, soreness, burning, itching and discomfort of skin.
Clotrimazole acts by blocking the biosynthesis of fungal ergosterol which leads to the disruption of fungal cell membrane and inhibition of fungal growth. Â Â
Before using this CANESTEN S, inform your doctor if you have any infections, allergic reactions or any diseases. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult the doctor before using the medicine. The most common side effect of this medicine includes itching, dryness, redness, and burning sensation at the application site. Do not use on broken skin, viral skin diseases and dermal vaccination reactions. Do not apply on cuts or burns.

HOW CANESTEN S WORKS
Beclomethasone is a corticosteroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Clotrimazole belongs to antifungal medications which work by stopping the growth of fungi that cause infection.
