Introduction About D RISE SACHET
D RISE SACHET contains Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) which belongs to the group of medicines called Vitamin D analogue. It is used to manage Vitamin D deficiency. This may occur when your diet or lifestyle does not provide you with enough vitamin D or when your body requires more vitamin D during pregnancy.
Along with this management, your doctor might advise you to eat and drink foods rich in calcium. Your doctor might want to take certain blood tests prior to the management to understand the existing condition.
D RISE SACHET is not recommended for use if you have high levels of calcium in the blood, malabsorption syndrome, hypervitaminosis D, renal osteodystrophy (kidney disease weakening the bones) with hyperphosphataemia.
Before taking D RISE SACHET, inform your doctor if you have impaired kidney or liver function, are immobilized due to osteoporosis, sarcoidosis (a multisystem chronic inflammatory condition which can affect your lungs, heart and kidneys) and hyperlipidemia (high lipid levels).
D RISE SACHET should be used with caution in pregnant or breastfeeding women. It should be used with caution in children and elderly patients. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any unusual effects during management with this medicine.

How D RISE SACHET Works
D RISE SACHET helps the body to absorb calcium and phosphorus by increasing their absorption from the gut and reducing the amount removed by the kidneys and is a fat-soluble vitamin.
How to use D RISE SACHET
Take D RISE SACHET as directed by the physician. Pour the contents of the sachet into a glass of water or milk. Stir with a spoon to obtain a pleasant-tasting suspension. Drink immediately. Your doctor will decide the right dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects Of D RISE SACHET
Rare
Stop taking D RISE SACHET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
- signs of impaired kidney function
- severe allergic reaction (signs include rash, itching/swelling especially of the face/tongue/throat, severe dizziness and trouble breathing)
Warning & Precautions
Pregnancy
D RISE SACHET should be used with caution in pregnant women or women planning to have a baby as safety and effectiveness have not been established yet. Overdosage of this medicine can harm the fetus. Consult your doctor before taking it.
Breastfeeding
D RISE SACHET should be used with caution in breastfeeding women as small amounts of it pass into the breast milk. Your doctor will monitor the levels of calcium in your blood and the breastfed baby. Consult your doctor before taking it.
Kidney
D RISE SACHET is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney disease or renal osteodystrophy (kidney disease weakening the bones) with hyperphosphatemia. It should be used with caution in patients with kidney impairment. Consult your doctor before taking D RISE SACHET.
Liver
D RISE SACHET should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Consult your doctor before taking D RISE SACHET.
Allergy
Do not take D RISE SACHET if you are allergic to Cholecalciferol or any other ingredients of this medicine.
Others
D RISE SACHET is not recommended for use if you:
- have high levels of vitamin D3 in the blood (hypervitaminosis D)
- have high levels of calcium in the blood
- malabsorption syndrome
Before taking D RISE SACHET, inform your doctor if you:
- are immobilized with osteoporosis
- have sarcoidosis (a multisystem chronic inflammatory condition which can affect your lungs, heart, and kidneys)
- have hyperlipidemia (high lipid levels)
