DIAMICRON XR 60MG TABLET effectively controls blood sugar levels, where Gliclazide makes the pancreas secrete more insulin to digest the circulating sugars (glucose) in the blood. It also makes the body more sensitive to insulin, which helps in utilizing the circulating blood glucose (sugars), leading to a decrease in blood glucose levels.
How to use DIAMICRON XR 60MG TABLET
- Take DIAMICRON XR 60MG TABLET before meals or as advised by your physician
- Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine
- Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition
- Continue to take DIAMICRON XR 60MG TABLET for the duration recommended by your doctor to achieve better control over blood sugar levels

- signs of a severe decrease in blood sugar level (such as confusion, headache, excessive sweating, clammy skin, trembling, weakness, double vision, excessive hunger, nausea, vomiting, problems sleeping, feeling agitated, unable to concentrate, drowsiness, loss of consciousness, slowed reactions, depression, trouble seeing or speaking, paralysis, numbness, dizziness, hallucinations, difficulty breathing, slowed or faster heartbeat with chest pain)

Others
DIAMICRON XR 60MG TABLET is not recommended for use if you:
- have type I diabetes (or insulin-dependent diabetes)
- have diabetic ketoacidosis (increased levels of sugar and ketone bodies in the blood)
- have a serious traumatic injury
- have G6PD deficiency (an inherited blood disorder)
- have porphyria (an inherited blood disorder)
Before taking DIAMICRON XR 60MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you:
- are malnourished, starved, on an irregular diet, or feeling weak
- perform extreme physical exercises
- have hormonal problems (Ex. disorders of the pituitary gland, adrenal cortex, or thyroid gland)
