Introduction About JUSTIN 25MG SUPPOSITORY
JUSTIN
25MG SUPPOSITORY is a pain-relieving medicine. It is used in the
management of post-operative pain and inflammation or high-grade fever
in children (aged 1-12 years). It contains a medicine called diclofenac
which is a powerful analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent. Upon
insertion the suppository into the rectum, it dissolves and gets
absorbed into the systemic circulation to exert its pain-relieving
actions.
Wash your hands before handling the suppository. Gently
insert the pointed end of the suppository into the infant’s rectum. Push
it in about half an inch to an inch using your finger. Always follow
your healthcare provider’s instructions regarding dosage and frequency.
Before
administering this medicine to your child, inform your doctor if your
child has any stomach problems, bloody vomits or passes bloody stools,
asthma, liver, kidney or heart problems as a precaution.
The most
common side effects of using this medicine are stomach pain, heartburn,
indigestion, gas, loss of appetite and headache. Consult your doctor if
any of these side effects trouble you.

How JUSTIN 25MG SUPPOSITORY Works
JUSTIN
25MG SUPPOSITORY contains a medicine called diclofenac works by
blocking the production of certain chemicals in the body called
prostaglandins, which are responsible for causing pain, inflammation,
and swelling. By reducing these chemicals, diclofenac helps relieve pain
and reduce inflammation, making it effective for conditions like
post-surgery pain, fever or injury. The suppository form allows it to be
absorbed through the rectum for systemic pain relief.
How to Use JUSTIN 25MG SUPPOSITORY:
- Ensure your hands are clean before handling the suppository.
- Lay the baby on their back, or on their side with knees gently pulled toward their chest.
- Use a small amount of water-based lubricant or petroleum jelly to moisten the tip of the suppository for easier insertion.
- Gently
insert the pointed end of the suppository into the infant’s rectum.
Push it in about half an inch to an inch using your finger. Be gentle
and avoid forcing it. - Hold the baby’s buttocks together for a few minutes to prevent the suppository from coming out.
- After insertion, keep the infant calm and in a comfortable position for a few minutes.
- Always follow your healthcare provider’s instructions regarding dosage and frequency.
