Introduction About VORXAR 4MG TABLET
VORXAR 4MG TABLET contains Saroglitazar which belongs to the group of medicines called Antidiabetic agents. It is indicated for the management of diabetic dyslipidaemia and hypertriglyceridemia (high levels of triglycerides) with Type 2 diabetes mellitus which is not controlled by statin therapy.
Diabetic Dyslipidaemia refers to a condition in which there are elevated triglycerides and LDL cholesterol, low HDL cholesterol, and major presence of small LDL particles. Your doctor may ask you to undergo certain diagnostic tests before starting the management with this medicine. Along with VORXAR 4MG TABLET, your doctor might ask you to make certain lifestyle changes such as eating healthy, adequate sleep, weight and stress management, quitting smoking and alcohol.
VORXAR 4MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients having liver, kidney or heart disease (with episodic congestive heart failure) and history of muscle diseases. VORXAR 4MG TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant women and is not recommended for use in breast-feeding women.
Safety and effectiveness of this medicine has not been established in children, hence, ask for your doctor’s advice before taking. VORXAR 4MG TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients. The most common side effects of taking VORXAR 4MG TABLET are gastritis, weakness, and fever. Consult your doctor if any of the above side effects does not improve or persists for a longer duration.

It is used to manage:
- diabetic dyslipidaemia
- hypertriglyceridemia (high levels of triglycerides) with Type 2 diabetes mellitus which is not controlled by statin therapy
How VORXAR 4MG TABLET Works
VORXAR 4MG TABLET influences glucose metabolism as well as fat metabolism. It acts on certain receptors and helps in lowering high blood triglycerides as well as the glucose levels in the blood and improves insulin resistance. It acts on the liver and increases the degradation of lipids (fats) and decreases their formation as well hence, resulting in reduced triglycerides.
How to use VORXAR 4MG TABLET
Take VORXAR 4MG TABLET as advised by your doctor. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, condition, and body weight.
