Introduction About PAN JUNIOR MOUTH DISPERSING 20MG TABLET

PAN
JUNIOR MOUTH DISPERSING 20MG TABLET is used to manage peptic ulcers,
gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and reflux esophagitis and its
associated symptoms such as acidity, heartburn, acid reflux and pain in
swallowing. It contains Pantoprazole
which belongs to the group of medicines called Proton pump inhibitors.
PAN JUNIOR MOUTH DISPERSING 20MG TABLET can also be used to manage
peptic ulcer caused due to long-term use of non-steroidal
anti-inflammatory drugs (such as aspirin, ibuprofen).

Take PAN
JUNIOR MOUTH DISPERSING 20MG TABLET at least 1 hour before meals to
achieve maximum benefits. During management with PAN JUNIOR MOUTH
DISPERSING 20MG TABLET your doctor will closely monitor kidney
functions, liver functions and blood magnesium levels to avoid the risk
of unwanted side effects. Before taking inform your doctor if you have
any liver, kidney or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if
you have weak bones or any previous history of bleeding in the gut.

Consult
your doctor before taking PAN JUNIOR MOUTH DISPERSING 20MG TABLET if
you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The most common side effects are
dryness of mouth, constipation and flatulence. You must also inform your
doctor immediately if you experience severe tiredness with abnormal
muscle movements, dizziness, confusion, disorientation and irregular
heartbeat, as it could be a sign of low magnesium levels in blood.

PAN
JUNIOR MOUTH DISPERSING 20MG TABLET contains Pantoprazole which helps
to reduce gastric acid secretion by the blocking the actions of a
protein membrane called H+K+Atpase (proton pump) across the stomach
lining. As a result, it manages the worsening of ulcers, heals the
existing ulcers and esophageal lesions and provides relief from the
unpleasant symptoms of GI tract (such as acidity, heartburn and acid
reflux).

How to use PAN JUNIOR MOUTH DISPERSING 20MG TABLET

  • Take PAN JUNIOR MOUTH DISPERSING 20MG TABLET 30 minutes to 1 hour before meals or as advised by your physician
  • Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine
  • Your
    doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you
    depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition
  • Do not stop taking PAN JUNIOR MOUTH DISPERSING 20MG TABLET unless your doctor advice you to stop

Stop

    allergic reactions (such as skin rash, itching, swelling of the lips,
    face or body and difficulty in breathing or swallowing)
  • signs of liver problems (yellowing of the skin and eyes, dark urine and tiredness)
  • severe
    skin reactions (such as redness, blistering, peeling of skin and
    bleeding in the lips, eyes, mouth, nose and genitals with fever)
  • signs of kidney problem (such as lower back pain, painful urination)
  • signs
    of low magnesium levels in blood (such as tiredness, abnormal muscle

  • signs of bleeding in the gut (such as bloody vomits/stools)
  • uncontrollable body movements (including eye and tongue), twisted neck and abnormal body posture

Allergy

Contraindicated

Do
not take PAN JUNIOR MOUTH DISPERSING 20MG TABLET if you are allergic to
Pantoprazole or any other ingredients of this medicine.

Use In Pediatrics

Contraindicated

PAN
JUNIOR MOUTH DISPERSING 20MG TABLET is not recommended for use in
children and adolescents as it has not been proven to work in children
below 12 years of age.

Use In Geriatrics

Use with Caution

PAN JUNIOR MOUTH DISPERSING 20MG TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above).

Others

Before taking PAN JUNIOR MOUTH DISPERSING 20MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you:

  • have osteoporosis
  • have a history of bleeding in the gut
  • have vitamin B12 deficiency (sore tongue, mouth ulcers, pale skin)
  • are going to test Chromogranin A level

A. Drug-Drug interactions:

Before
taking PAN JUNIOR MOUTH DISPERSING 20MG TABLET inform your doctor if
you are taking any of the following medicines such as:

  • Antifungal (Ex. ketoconazole, itraconazole and Posaconazole)
  • Anti-cancer agents (Ex. erlotinib)
  • Anticoagulants (Ex. warfarin and phenprocoumon)
  • Antimetabolites (Ex. methotrexate)
  • Anti-viral agents (Ex. atazanavir)
  • Antidepressants (Ex. fluvoxamine)
  • Antibiotics (Ex. rifampicin)
  • Herbal medicine (Ex. St. John’s wort)

Overdosage:

If
you or anyone else accidentally took more PAN JUNIOR MOUTH DISPERSING
20MG TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby
