Introduction About SHELCAL 500MG TABLET

Shelcal 500 Tablet is a widely used calcium supplement enriched with calcium and Vitamin D3, essential for bone health, muscle function, and overall well-being. It is used as a supplement to replenish and maintain calcium and vitamin D levels in body especially in pregnant women, lactating mothers, postmenopausal women, elders and in patients with or having a risk of osteoporosis or fractures. It improves bones and teeth health, makes them strong and improves overall health and immunity.

Take Shelcal 500 with meals once daily either in morning or night, as suggested by your doctor. Depending upon your health conditions, your doctor may suggest 1-2 doses per day. Try to take the medicine at the same time each day for optimum blood levels.

While Shelcal 500 is generally safe, it may cause constipation and bloating in some individuals, although not everyone gets them. Patients taking shelcal 500, must avoid using it long-term without medical supervision, as higher calcium levels in blood caused due to prolong period may cause kidney stones and unpleasant side effects.

Shelcal 500 is used in pregnant and breastfeeding women to fulfil excess nutritional needs. However, taking it after doctor consultation and periodic checkups for blood calcium levels can prevent from unnecessary complications. It should be used with caution in patients with pre-existing kidney problems.
