infections like that of chest, lung or nose (Ex. bronchitis, pneumonia,
sinusitis), urinary tract (Ex. cystitis, urethritis), skin (Ex. acne),
eyes or sexually transmitted diseases (Ex. gonorrhoea, syphilis,

FAQs ABOUT CODOX CAPSULE
Can CODOX CAPSULE cause diarrhea?
Diarrhea
is a common problem caused by CODOX CAPSULE, which usually ends when
the medicine is discontinued. Sometimes after starting the management,
you might develop watery and bloody stools (with or without stomach
cramps and fever) even as late as two or more months after having taken
the last dose of CODOX CAPSULE. If this occurs, you should tell the
doctor as soon as possible.
Can CODOX CAPSULE be used for common cold?
Patients
should know that antibacterial drugs including CODOX CAPSULE should
only be used to manage bacterial infections. They should not be used to
manage viral infections like the common cold. Consult your doctor for
further queries.
Can I stop taking CODOX CAPSULE if I feel better?
Do
not stop taking CODOX CAPSULE unless your doctor advises you to stop.
If you stop taking it early, the infection may return. Take CODOX
CAPSULE for the full time of management, even if you begin to feel
better.
What if I forget to take a dose of CODOX CAPSULE?
If
you forget to take a dose of CODOX CAPSULE, take it as soon as you
remember. Do not take CODOX CAPSULE two times to make up for the missed
dose. Doubling the dose to make up for a missed dose would not
substitute the missing amount but increase the risk of overdosing.
Consult your doctor for further queries.
Does CODOX CAPSULE cause sensitivity to light?
Yes.
Photosensitivity (light sensitivity) manifested by a worsening sunburn
reaction has been observed in some patients taking CODOX CAPSULE.
Patients prone to be exposed to direct sunlight or ultraviolet light
should know that this reaction can occur with CODOX CAPSULE or similar
medicines and management should be discontinued at the first evidence of
skin redness.
