What GENTICYN 80MG is used for?

It is used to manage a wide variety of infections such as chest, wound and blood infections

Talk to your Doctor, if you:

are allergic or hypersensitive to Gentamicin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
have suffer from a disorder called myasthenia gravis (severe weakness of selected muscles of the body)
have diabetes

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

other aminoglycosides, cephalosporins, methicillin (used to manage bacterial infection)
warfarin and phenindione (used to thin the blood)
amphotericin B (used to manage fungal infection)
neostigmine and pyridostigmine (used to manage muscle weakness)
cyclosporin (used to prevent organ rejection)
cisplatin (used to manage cancer)
some diuretics such as ethacrynic acid and furosemide
tubocurarine and succinylcholine (used as muscle relaxant)
indomethacin (used to manage pain and inflammations)
bisphosphonates (used to manage osteoporosis)
botulinum toxin (used for the management of muscle spasticity, an involuntary flexing of the muscles)
