This combined medication is best taken with food to reduce side effects. In general, you should try to use the smallest amount necessary to control your symptoms, for the shortest possible time. However, for some conditions, such as arthritis, it may take up to two weeks to get the full benefit. You should take this medicine regularly while you do need it; try not to miss doses as it will become less effective. Medicines used to treat pain are usually best taken at the first sign of pain.
