INTRODUCTION ABOUT MUCAINE ORANGE GEL(ORAL)

MUCAINE
ORANGE GEL(ORAL) is used to manage gastrointestinal disorders
manifested with hyperacidity and increased gas production. It may be
administered as monotherapy or to manage gastro-oesophagitis reflux,
chronic diarrhea, and non-ulcer dyspepsia. MUCAINE ORANGE GEL(ORAL)
contains Aluminium hydroxide, Magnesium hydroxide, and oxetacaine, which belong to a group of medicines called Antacids and Local anaesthetics, respectively.

MUCAINE
ORANGE GEL(ORAL) is not recommended for patients with chronic renal
failure. Patients should be advised not to take any oral medication
within 1 to 2 hours of taking MUCAINE ORANGE GEL(ORAL), as it has
potential interactions with other medicines. Patients should be informed
that MUCAINE ORANGE GEL(ORAL) held for a long time in the mouth may
impair taste sensation because of its oxetacaine content.

Patients
should be advised not to exceed the prescribed amounts of MUCAINE
ORANGE GEL(ORAL), as it may cause hypersensitive reactions. The most
common side effects of taking MUCAINE ORANGE GEL(ORAL) are nausea and
constipation. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects get worse
while taking MUCAINE ORANGE GEL(ORAL).

USES OF MUCAINE ORANGE GEL(ORAL)

  • MUCAINE ORANGE GEL(ORAL) is used to manage gastrointestinal disorders manifested with hyperacidity and increased gas production.

HOW MUCAINE ORANGE GEL(ORAL) WORKS

MUCAINE
ORANGE GEL(ORAL) is a combination of Aluminium hydroxide, Magnesium
hydroxide, and Oxetacaine. Aluminium hydroxide acts on the hydrochloric
acid in the stomach by neutralizing it, forming Aluminium chloride salt
and water. Magnesium hydroxide increases peristaltic activity, causing
osmotic retention of fluids, thus resulting in bowel evacuation. It also
reduces stomach acid by reacting with hydrochloric acid to form
magnesium chloride. Oxetacaine is a topical anaesthetic that effectively
relieves pain when applied to the mouth and food pipelining. The
antacids neutralize stomach acid and reduce further irritation of the
food pipe. Antacid also thickens the liquid to help carry the oxetacaine
and coat the food pipe.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Take
MUCAINE ORANGE GEL(ORAL) as advised by your physician. Shake well
before use. Take MUCAINE ORANGE GEL(ORAL) 1 to 2 teaspoonfuls 4 times a

take MUCAINE ORANGE GEL(ORAL) undiluted. However, a sip of water may be
taken if desired. The correct dose and duration for you will be decided
by the doctor depending upon your age, body weight, and disease
condition.

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS
