INTRODUCTION ABOUT TAXIMAX 750MG INJECTION

TAXIMAX
750MG INJECTION is a combination of Cefotaxime and Sulbactam which
belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to
manage lower respiratory tract infection (infection affecting the lungs
or below the voice box such as bronchitis and pneumonia) and
genitourinary tract infection (infection affecting any part of the
urinary system, the kidneys, bladder or urethra such as cystitis and
urethritis).

TAXIMAX 750MG INJECTION should be used with caution
in patients with asthma, heart or kidney disorder. Before receiving
TAXIMAX 750MG INJECTION inform your doctor if you have history of
gastro-intestinal problems like colitis (causing diarrhea containing
blood), epilepsy, meningitis, are on a low sodium diet and having
schedule for any blood or urine tests.

This medicine should be
used in pregnant and breast-feeding women only if clearly advised by the
doctor. TAXIMAX 750MG INJECTION should be used with caution in children
and adolescents. It should be used with caution in elderly patients
(aged 65 years and above), especially in patients with impaired organ
functioning.

immediately if the side effect worsens or persist for a long period of
time.

USES OF TAXIMAX 750MG INJECTION

HOW TAXIMAX 750MG INJECTION WORKS

TAXIMAX
750MG INJECTION helps to manage bacterial infections, where cefotaxime
works by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (which are responsible
for the formation of bacterial cell wall) and inhibit the synthesis of
bacterial cell wall, leading to bacterial cell death and sulbactam works
by binding and inhibiting beta-lactamase (an enzyme that destroys
antibiotic activity) produced by bacterial cells and thereby manages the
reduction in antibacterial activity.
