HOW GRISOJET ORAL SUSPENSION WORKS

GRISOJET
ORAL SUSPENSION inhibits the growth of fungi by binding to a part of
the fungus causing the infection in the body. This stops the fungus from
multiplying. It also manages fungus from spreading to new cells. These
actions cause the fungal infection to shed completely.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Take
GRISOJET ORAL SUSPENSION as advised by your physician. Shake well
before use. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for
you depending on your age, body weight and disease condition.

SIDE EFFECTS OF GRISOJET ORAL SUSPENSION

COMMON

  • hypersensitivity reactions (skin rashes and hives)

RARE

  • hypersensitivity reactions like painless swelling under the skin and erythema multiforme (a skin condition)
  • excess protein in the urine
  • nephrosis (an inflammatory kidney disease)
  • leukopenia (lack of white blood cells)
  • coagulopathy (impaired blood clotting)
  • hepatitis (liver infection)
  • increased levels of liver enzymes
  • hyperbilirubinemia (raised blood levels of bilirubin)
  • gastrointestinal bleeding

WARNING & PRECAUTIONS

PREGNANCY

GRISOJET
ORAL SUSPENSION is not recommended for use in pregnant women or women
who may become pregnant during> management. Consult your doctor
before taking it.

BREASTFEEDING

It is unknown if GRISOJET ORAL SUSPENSION passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before taking it.

ALCOHOL

Avoid
consumption of alcohol while taking GRISOJET ORAL SUSPENSION as it may
cause nausea, vomiting, flushing, hast heartbeat or low blood pressure.

KIDNEY

Periodic monitoring of kidney functions is required in patients taking GRISOJET ORAL SUSPENSION.

LIVER

GRISOJET
ORAL SUSPENSION is not recommended in patients with liver failure.
Periodic monitoring of liver functions is required. Consult your doctor
before taking it.

ALLERGY

Do not take GRISOJET ORAL SUSPENSION if you are allergic to Griseofulvin.

OTHERS

GRISOJET ORAL SUSPENSION is not recommended for use if you:

  • have porphyria (results from an increase in certain chemicals related to red blood cell proteins)

Before taking GRISOJET ORAL SUSPENSION, inform your doctor if you:

  • have Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (a rare painful skin and tissue disease)
  • feel that your skin is becoming more sensitive to sunlight or ultraviolet (UV) light

Use in Paediatrics:

Safety
of GRISOJET ORAL SUSPENSION in children (less than 2 years of age) has
not been established. Consult your doctor before taking it.

INTERACTIONS

A. Drug-Drug interactions:

Before taking GRISOJET ORAL SUSPENSION, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:

  • medicines used to thin your blood (Ex. warfarin, clopidogrel)
  • oral contraceptives (used to manage pregnancy) Ex. ethinyl estradiol, norethindrone
  • ciclosporin (used after organ transplantation to manage organ rejection)
  • salicylates (used to manage pain, fever or inflammation) Ex. aspirin
  • barbiturates (used to manage fits or to induce sleep) Ex. phenobarbital, primidone
  • medicines used to manage infections (Ex. penicillin)

Overdosage:

If
you or anyone else accidentally take too much of GRISOJET ORAL
SUSPENSION, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby
hospital.

How fast does GRISOJET ORAL SUSPENSION work?

ORAL SUSPENSION usually takes about two to four weeks to show
improvement in the symptoms of skin infections and about four to six
weeks for hair and scalp infections to be completely gone. Take the
medicine for as long as advised by your doctor for effective management
of the infection.

Can GRISOJET ORAL SUSPENSION cause liver damage?

Yes,
GRISOJET ORAL SUSPENSION may cause yellowish discoloration of the skin
or eyeballs along with abdominal pain, fatigue and fever, along with
elevated levels of liver enzymes in laboratory tests. These reactions
may be serious and result in hospitalisation or death. Hence, patients
should be monitored for liver function while taking GRISOJET ORAL
SUSPENSION for the long term.

Can GRISOJET ORAL SUSPENSION cause diarrhea?

Yes.
Diarrhea is occasionally reported in patients taking GRISOJET ORAL
SUSPENSION. Drink lots of fluids, such as water or fruit juice, to keep
yourself hydrated. Do not consume any medicine on your own without
consulting your doctor. If you experience persistent diarrhea, consult
your doctor.

Can GRISOJET ORAL SUSPENSION be used during pregnancy?

GRISOJET
ORAL SUSPENSION is not recommended for use during pregnancy as it may
harm your baby. So, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, think you
are pregnant or plan to get pregnant before taking it.

Can GRISOJET ORAL SUSPENSION cause rashes?

Yes.

sunlight or artificial UV light such as sunbeds. In case of while going
out protect your skin by applying sunscreen protection cream with the
approval of your doctor which helps to manage sunburn allergy reactions.
Inform your doctor if you have a previous history of skin problems
before taking GRISOJET ORAL SUSPENSION.
