INTRODUCTION ABOUT KEP LS SYRUP

KEP LS SYRUP is used to control cough with mucus associated with common cold, flu, chronic bronchitis, asthma, etc. It contains Ambroxol, Guaiphenesin, and Levosalbutamol, which belong to the group of medicines called Mucolytics, Expectorants, and Bronchodilators. It lowers the phlegm thickness and makes it easier to cough out. It also relaxes the smooth muscle in the bronchial tubes, relieving shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.

It is recommended to take KEP LS SYRUP with food. KEP LS SYRUP is not recommended for use if you are allergic to Ambroxol, Guaiphenesin, and Levosalbutamol, have heart disease, or are at risk of heart attack, thyrotoxicosis, hereditary problems of fructose intolerance, or porphyria (a blood disorder). Consult your doctor before taking it.

KEP LS SYRUP should not be used during the first trimester of pregnancy. Caution is advised when KEP LS SYRUP is used during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy.

The most common side effects of taking KEP LS SYRUP are nervousness and tremor, increased heart rate, palpitations, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, nausea, vomiting, sweating, and muscle cramps. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.

USES OF KEP LS SYRUP

HOW KEP LS SYRUP WORKS

Ambroxol is mucolytic, lowers the phlegm thickness, and makes it easier to cough out. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that works by thinning the mucus in the airways to make it easier to cough up the mucus and make breathing easier. Levosalbutamol works by relaxing the smooth muscle in the bronchial tubes and relieving shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS

Dizziness Or Drowsiness

Ensure proper hydration, as dehydration can cause dizziness. Avoid excessive caffeine, alcohol, and high-sodium foods, which can exacerbate symptoms. Engage in physical therapy or vestibular rehabilitation exercises designed to improve balance and reduce dizziness. Move slowly when changing positions, such as standing up or lying down, to avoid triggering dizziness. Practice relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, or yoga to manage stress, which can contribute to dizziness. Consult your doctor if dizziness persists.

Headache

Ensure adequate fluid intake, as dehydration can cause headaches. Maintain a consistent sleep schedule, aiming for 7-9 hours of quality sleep per night. Eat balanced meals at regular intervals to avoid blood sugar fluctuations that can trigger headaches. Practice relaxation techniques such as meditation, yoga, or deep breathing exercises to reduce stress levels. Engage in regular physical exercise, which can help reduce the frequency and severity of headaches. Apply a cold pack or warm compress to the forehead or neck to alleviate pain.

Nausea And Vomiting

Stay hydrated with small sips of clear fluids like water, ginger ale, or electrolyte solutions. Avoid consuming large meals; instead, opt for bland, easy-to-digest foods.
